Pathways - Level Up Your Speaking

FLOW Speak Pathways are structured learning tracks designed to help you reach the next step in your English speaking improvement journey.

The key to speaking success is consistency, and Pathways are the way to stay on track. As you progress through your chosen Pathway, you’ll earn badges and certificates to sustain your motivation and celebrate your achievements.

How Pathways Work

There are 3 Pathways to choose from based on your current ability and the next step in your journey.

Beginner
Guides you from Beginner High (A2) → Intermediate Low (B1)

Intermediate
Guides you from Intermediate Low (B1) → Intermediate High (B2)

Advanced
Guides you from Intermediate High (B2) → Advanced Low (C1)

Each pathway is broken down into 3 levels, each lasting about 8 weeks. When you finish a level, you earn a badge, and when you finish all three levels, you receive the certificate for that Pathway. 

You can proceed in the Pathway at your own pace, speeding up or slowing down depending on your schedule. Within 3 to 6 months, you will reach a higher Pathway!

Each level in the Pathway includes lessons for both casual and professional scenarios, progressively building upon prior learning. This allows you to reuse expressions and discover your natural speaking style in English. This step-by-step method is how you can continually build your conversation skills and confidence.

FAQ

What is A2, B1, B2, C1?

This is a 6-level scale from A1-C2 developed by Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for assessing English ability. FLOW Speak’s Pathways support your progress from A2 to C1.

A2 - High Beginner
B1 - Low Intermediate
B2 - High Intermediate
C1 - Low Advanced

Which is the right pathway for me?

Choose a level based on what you think your proficiency is. If you recently took an English test, it can help you assess which Pathway to start. After you choose the Pathway, if you find it too easy or too hard, you can change it anytime.

Can I choose a Pathway on a Community Membership?

Yes, speaking improvement is available to everyone with FLOW Speak. With the Pathway on a Community Membership, you get access to a limited number of lessons but cannot earn badges or certificates. With the Premium Membership you get access to all the lessons in the Pathway, advanced AI-powered feedback, and can earn all badges and certificates.
